Gary's career and appreciation of furniture began as an apprentice working for traditonal craftsman in Royal Windsor. Frustrated at seeing the lack if good design and craftsmanship available on the high street he decided to design and produce his own furniture. Inspired by the glamorous yet functional designs from 'Art Deco' period between the wars he now creates bespoke pieces. He favours boxes due to their ability to encompass his craftsmanship on a diminutive scale. Each piece has been hand-crafted from solid oak with individual dovetailed joints veneered in a variety of exotic timbers. All decorative metal fittings are handmade and polished to a mirror finish then plated with chrome. Minature handles are handmade in stainless steel or solid silver depending on customer preference. The result is a collection of exquisitely made designs that hark back to a more glamourous era. |
